Not only India, the reins of the world’s leading tech companies are in the hands of the Indian people today. Who doesn’t know Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet Company. But there are many other Indian CEOs and executives who are handling the responsibility of the world’s best tech companies, whom you would be proud to know.

1. Sundar Pichai, CEO, Alphabet & Google

Pichai Sundarajan born in July 12, 1972 popularly known as Sunder Pichai is an Indian American business executive and the CEO of Alphabet Inc. And its subsidiary company Google.

Born in Chennai, India, he completed his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. Then he moved to USA where he attained an M S from Stanford university in material science & engineering. Further he completed MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sundar Pichai, CEO, GOOGLE

Pichai joined Google in 2004 where he led the product management and innovation efforts for a suite of Google’s client software products. In his 15-year career, he has worked on technologies like Android, Chrome, WebM format, Map and Android.

He was selected as new CEO of Google on 10th August, 2015 and on 24 October 2015 he was appointed as the CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc.

2. Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft

Satya Narayana Nadella born 19 August 1967 is the CEO of Microsoft since February 2014. Before becoming CEO, he was the executive vice president of Microsoft’s cloud and enterprise group, which is responsible for building and running the company’s computing platforms. Nadella started with Microsoft in 1992 as Window NT operating system developers.

Nadella was born in Hyderabad of present-day Telangana, India into a Telugu-speaking Hindu family

He worked at Sun Microsystems as a member of its technology staff before joining Microsoft in the year 1992.

He then moved to U.S. to study for an M.S. in computer science at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Later, he received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1996.

3. Shantanu Narayan, CEO, Adobe

Shantanu was born in Hyderabad, India. He joined adobe in 1998. He then became the CEO of the company in the year 2007. He has a Bachelor of Science course from Osmania University and an MBA from the University of California.

Shantanu Narayen born on May 27, 1963 in Hyderabad, India. He has been the chairman, president, and CEO of Adobe Inc. since December 2007. Prior to this, he was the company’s president and chief operating officer since 2005.

He attended Hyderabad Public School and then completed his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad. Then he moved to United States in 1986 where he received master’s degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. In 1993 he received his MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.

Shantanu Narayan, CEO, Adobe

In 1986 Narayen joined a Silicon Valley start-up called Measurex Automation Systems, which made computer control systems for automotive and electronics customers and then he moved to Apple, where he worked from 1989 to 1995.

Narayen joined Adobe Inc. in 1998 as senior vice-president of worldwide product development. In 2005 he was appointed as the president and chief operating officer.

4. Arvind Krishna, CEO, IBM

Arvind has done Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Be the CEO of IBM in the year 2020. He has worked at IBM for nearly 30 years.

Arvind Krishna born on 1962 in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is an Indian-American business executive serving as Chairman and CEO of IBM since 2020.

Krishna started his career at IBM in 1990, at IBM’s Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2015, managing IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software and IBM Research divisions.

He completed his schooling from St Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun and the Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Then he completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1985. He then traveled to the US to get PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1990.

5. Revathi Advaithi, CEO, Flex

Revathi Advaithi became the CEO of Flex (formerly Flextronics) in the year 2019. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 1990, and received an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, United States.

Before joining Flex, Advaithi worked in various leadership positions at Eaton and Honeywell.

She currently serves as an independent director for the board of Uber. She was named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list in 2019.

6. Jayashree Ullal, President & CEO, Arista Network

Jayshree V. Ullal born March 27, 1961 became the President and CEO of Arista Network a cloud networking company in 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San Francisco and a master’s degree from Santa Clara University.

She began her career with engineering and strategy positions at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Fairchild Semiconductor. She was also the director of internet working products at Ungermann-Bass. At Crescendo, she became the vice president of marketing, working with 100-Mbps over copper, the first CDDI products and first-generation Ethernet switching.

7. Nikesh Arora, CEO, Palo Alto Networks

Nikesh Arora born on February 9, 1968 joined Palo Alto Networks as CEO in 2018. Prior to this he worked at Google. He was also the president of SoftBank Group From 2014 to 2016. 8. Parag Agarwal, CTO, Twitter

Sud born in 1983 in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Flint, Michigan. In 1997, at  the age of 14, Sud left Flint to study at Phillips Andover Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.

She was graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, with a B.Sc. in Finance and Management. In 2011, she received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
