Interested Indian Players or Trainers, as the game calls them, will be able to join the other trainers all around the world to complete various challenges and win amazing prizes and rewards.

So let’s look into detail of this Pokémon Go Fest 2021 that is going to be celebrated worldwide in this month of July.

What is Pokémon Go?

Pokémon Go is a mobile game that is based on augmented reality (AR) which is developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. This game is available for both iOS and Android devices.

This game uses mobile device’s GPS and location to locate, capture, train, and battle virtual creatures called Pokémon, which seems as if they are in the player’s real-world location. Pokémon Go game was initially launched on July 6, 2016 with about 150 different species of Pokémon, which was increased to around 600 species by the year 2020.

Till now around 465 billion Pokémon have been caught virtually and around 12.55 billion AR photos have been shot.

Pokémon Go Fest is the biggest event and annual celebration of Pokémon Go. This event was first started in the year 2017 in Chicago. It is a real world gathering of players all around the globe who participate in the event and complete various challenges, catches old and new Pokémon. Niantic Inc., the developer of most famous game Pokémon Go hosts this event in more than 20 cities around the world.

Pokémon GO Fest 2021 Event Details

Pokémon GO Fest 2021 is going to held from July 17 to July 18 from 10.00 am morning to 06.00 pm evening. Each day will offer a unique experience to all the gamers and trainers around the globe, with many exciting features and rewards.

Also the eligible trainers will get YouTube premium membership for free for 3 months. Also the Android device users will be eligible for special Google Sponsored gift on the launch day of this event, i.e. on July 17th. These specially sponsored gifts will include a Super Incubator, Incense and 30 Ultra Balls.

The participants of this event, who have purchased tickets, will be able to collaborate with other players across the globe in the Global Challenge Arena. The Indian players can also team up with many trainers globally to complete different types of hourly challenges. On completing a challenge, the trainers will be rewarded with a bonus point that will last for the remaining hour. And after completing all the 24 challenges, it will unlock Space, Time and a Mystery bonus in the weeks following Pokémon Go Fest 2021.

This event is divided in two days where day one is named as ‘Catch’ and day two is named as ‘Raid’.

July 17th, i.e., the first day of the event is themed around Catch. All players around the world will be able to catch Pokémon themed around music and Pokémon themed around Rotating Habitats. Many different types of new and shiny Pokémon will be introduced. Also there will be a Special Research on new Mythical Pokémon.

The theme of day two, i.e., July 18th, will be ‘Raid‘. All the participants and players will be able to challenge a lot of Raids with the chance of earning up to ten standard Raid Passes and up to nine Remote Raid Passes.

How to Purchase Ticket for Pokémon GO Fest 2021?

In order to participate in the Pokémon GO Fest 2021, you need to purchase a ticket which costs Rs. 399/-, that is valid for the two day event. Follow the below steps to make a purchase:

Step 1: Go to www.pokemongo.com

Step 2: Now click on Shop with a Pokémon Image displayed on the top.

Step 3: Then click on Buy button

Step 4: Then you will see a pop up indicating that you have received a ticket for Pokémon GO Fest 2021.

Step 5: After that, click on OK, and you can find your ticket in your Item Bag.

A few days before the beginning of the event, you will receive a medal for participation. And when you open the app during the event hours, then you will receive all the access to Pokémon GO Fest 2021, which also includes a Special Research Story.

Please note that tickets purchased for this event are nonrefundable. The last date to buy tickets for event is July 18, 2021 at 4 p.m. local time. Also remember that if you buy your ticket after the event starts, you may miss out on some of the earlier contents.
