How To Find Nearby Share Option in Phone?

Step 1: First go to Settings, scroll down and select Google.

Step 2: After this, click on Device Connections, by scrolling here you will get the Nearby Share option.

Step 3: Tap on Nearby Share, and then customize the settings.

Step 4: To turn off Nearby Share, tap on Settings. Then turn off Nearby Share.

NOTE: To use this feature, you have to first choose your device name and your Google account linked to it.

How To Transfer Files Using Nearby Share?

Follow the below mentioned steps to transfer files from one android mobile to another using Nearby share feature:

Step 1: First of all, ensure that Bluetooth and Location are turned ON in your phone.

Step 2: Then open your phone’s Settings.

Step 3: After that click on Google & then on Device connections.

Step 4: Then click on Nearby Share option & then Turn it on.

Step 5: Then open the contents, like a photos or documents that you would like to share.

Step 6: Now click on Share option & then on Nearby Share to transfer files.

Note: Your friend will have to accept the content you send.

Step 7: Hold your phone and your friend’s device close to each other.

Step 8: Under “Looking for nearby devices“, click on your friend’s device and then click Send.

Step 9: When the “Sent” message shows in your device, then tap on Close.

Step 10: To turn off Nearby Share, tap on Settings and then turn off Nearby Share.

Ensure that the android phone with which you wish to share the file also has the Nearby Share feature on their phone.

Only after this, file sharing will start and therefore the process are going to be completed during a short time.
